What makes us tick?

We believe that the next level option of a Trophy Fish Portrait for Sport fishers encourages and promotes a higher level end game for sport fishers. Not only does it boldly showcase your passion and skill, it also shows that you are invested in the sustainability of this precious resource.

In this way, a Trophy Fish Portrait that serves to increase the prestige of anglers  that practice catch, photograph and release in turn supports our goal of more fish released.

More fish released we believe,  equals more opportunities for all, and that is the ultimate end game.

What We Actually Do

Simply put - We use your photograph to create a lasting high quality life-size memory - a modern take on traditional taxidermy.

Your print is individual and unique, expertly framed and delivered to your door.

And because it's life-size, you'll never need to get out the tape measure again.

How to Order

How the process works

Step 1 — Initial enquiry

Getting started takes only a few minutes.
Simply get in touch and let us know:

  • the species

  • approximate size

  • any preferred style, caption, motifs, or framing

Photos can be shared at this stage or after we’ve confirmed the best approach.

Step 2 — Concept & artwork development

Once we receive your enquiry, we’ll respond within 24 hours to review your photos and details.

Following the initial discussion, a concept mock-up is prepared to confirm layout, style, and overall direction.
Once the concept is agreed, the final artwork is developed and a proof image is provided for approval prior to printing.

At the conclusion of this stage, full payment is required before printing and framing proceed.

Step 3 — Printing, framing & delivery

Once artwork approval and payment are complete, please allow approximately three weeks for printing, framing, and delivery.

Pricing

Indicative Pricing

Every portrait is individually created from your photos and measurements.
The artwork process pricing itself is fixed — overall pricing varies primarily based on the final print size, with framing and background detail also influencing the total.

The same care and process is applied to every piece — larger prints simply require more materials and production time.

The ranges below are provided as a guide only to help set expectations prior to enquiry.

Typical pricing ranges

Small to medium fish (up to ~70cm)
from $290 – $420

Medium to large fish (70–100cm)
from $420 – $590

Large / trophy fish (100cm+)
from $590+

Final pricing is confirmed following review of photos and discussion of framing and finish.

Timing & payment

  • Artwork development and proofing typically occurs within 1–2 weeks of the initial discussion.

  • Once artwork is approved and payment is received, please allow approximately three weeks for printing, framing, and delivery.

Full payment is required prior to printing and framing.

Is shipping included?

Yes, shipping to all major Towns and Centres for all Australian States and Territories is included in the pricing. Overseas orders by application please.

Frequently asked questions

How large can my portrait be?

The maximum potential size is 240cm x 120cm. This would be a special order.

What is the minimum digital file size?

A file size of around 750 Kb is about the minimum for an average size trophy fish as long as the fish takes up most of the picture.

A file size of 2Mb is the preferred minimum.

You can find out the file size by hovering over it or right clicking and then choosing properties. The final portrait will be subject to the original image quality . We will advise you if we think it will not be satisfactory.

Can I use an old photo or negative?

You could do a high resolution scan of the photo. The final portrait will be subject to the original image quality and the quality of the scan. We will advise you if we think it will not be satisfactory.

Is shipping included?

Yes, shipping to all major Towns and Centres for all Australian States and Territories is included in the pricing. Overseas orders by application please.

Why do you leave the hands on the fish?

This answer is two-fold:

1- The hands connect the fish with you the angler, the holding and posing with the fish is part of the capture story. Your hands on the fish says it all.

2- If the hands were cut from the fish it would in most cases leave a distorted area of the fish that rarely looks natural if attempted to be restored.

Can I just get the print or the image file?

We understand that a small number of customers may wish to frame the print differently to what we offer, but we would urge you to consider whether there is any real benefit in then having to take a print to have it framed locally for a similar result. We simply want to provide a complete no fuss product for you to enjoy immediately.

If you are working to a lessor budget we may consider DIY frames options to give everyone an opportunity to still get that trophy fish portrait on the wall.

Pricing & Payment

All work is commissioned on a consultation basis.

  • Indicative pricing is provided on the website as a guide only.

Artwork Approval & Returns

Each piece is custom-created from your supplied photos and specifications.

A proof image is provided for approval prior to printing.
Approval confirms layout, composition, and overall direction.

Because all artwork is made to order:

  • Returns for change of mind are not generally possible.

  • If there is a genuine quality issue, please contact us within 7 days of delivery so we can assess the matter and work toward a fair resolution.

Minor variations in colour may occur due to differences in screen calibration between devices. These do not constitute a fault.

Damaged Items

Every care is taken when packaging framed artwork; however, damage in transit can occasionally occur.

To reduce the risk of damage, we supply framed pieces with clear acrylic (Perspex) glazing in place of glass, at the additional cost included in your quote. Acrylic is lightweight, highly durable, and far less prone to breakage during transport.

The acrylic used is optically clear and UV-resistant, and once installed in the frame there is no visible difference compared to glass. In many cases, it provides better protection against impact and long-term fading.

If your artwork arrives damaged:

  • Please contact us as soon as possible.

  • We may request photographs to assess the issue.

Our aim is always to resolve any transit issues fairly and with minimal inconvenience.
